BetMGM — Legendary Plays featuring Derek Jeter

As BetMGM continued expanding its roster of brand ambassadors, the “Legendary Plays” campaign introduced Derek Jeter to the brand through a fully integrated campaign spanning broadcast, social, and photography.

At the center of the campaign was a :30 broadcast spot supported by an extensive capture plan designed to maximize a limited production window with talent. With just eight hours on set, the production delivered a :30, :15, social content, and photography assets—all while balancing the pace and precision required for high-profile talent shoots.

Just six days before production, we unexpectedly lost our primary location, forcing the team to completely rethink the creative approach for a campaign originally designed to shoot entirely outdoors. In response, we pivoted to a stage-based production approach that relied heavily on projection techniques and VFX to recreate some of Derek Jeter’s most iconic plays in a cinematic and stylized way.

As Executive Producer, much of my role became aligning production, creative, VFX, and client teams around a vision that often required trusting the process before the final imagery existed. Throughout production, we frequently relied on references and creative walkthroughs to help communicate how the final world would ultimately come together in post.

The campaign became a true example of creative problem solving at scale—finding ways to protect the ambition of the work despite tight timelines, shifting production realities, and a highly compressed schedule. It was a reminder that some of the best production partnerships are built on trust, flexibility, and a shared commitment to pushing the work further.
